Akai updated the software for the Mpc Renaissance/Studio to 1.3. From what I’m seeing on the net, everyone is happy with this update. I want to test it out myself but with my busy schedule, I can’t fit it in. There are many improvements especially dealing with plugins which to me needed to be solved and from what I’m hearing, it’s been solved. Shortly, I will be uploading vids of what the new update can do.
My issues with previous updates were real discouraging and I almost gave up on the Renaissance. One thing that kept me drawn towards the Renaissance was the classic MPC work flow I have used throughout the years. Plus having a hard drive full of samples made life so much easier for me. To keep from not selling the Ren, I found a workaround to keep it inspiring. Personally, I’m excited about this update because I think the Ren/Studio has incredible possibilities. Check the video with Young Guru demonstrating the update.
