Analogue Solutions Unveils Ample

Leading British electronic instrument innovator Analogue Solutions is thrilled to introduce Ample, the ultimate desktop-friendly ANALOGUE 3 VCO PATCH PIN SYNTHESISER. This precision-engineered electronic musical instrument combines the best elements from Analogue Solutions’ rich history of synthesizers, offering a versatile and authentic analogue modular system. Ample is set to be available starting November 29.

Ample follows Analogue Solutions’ no-compromise construction ethos, featuring a robust steel and aluminium case, high-quality metal potentiometers, smooth-action knobs, double-sided circuit boards, and a 16-bit DAC (Digital-to-Analogue Convertor) for stable MIDI to CV conversion. This synthesizer boasts a true retro analogue sound, with fully-analogue audio paths, analogue LFOs (Low Frequency Oscillators), and envelope generators (EGs).

Ample combines the best elements from various Analogue Solutions products, creating a unique and versatile instrument:

Three Analogue VCOs: Ample features three analogue Voltage-Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) with a wide range of features and modulation options. The third oscillator can also function as an LFO, offering further sound possibilities.

24dB-Per-Octave Low-Pass Filter: A four-pole low-pass filter section adds character and depth to the sound.

Voltage-Controlled Amplifier: The VCA can be set to THRU mode, making it suitable for use as an effect processor.

Envelope Generators (EGs): Ample includes two envelope generators, each with control over ATTACK, DECAY, SUSTAIN, and RELEASE.

Modulation Routing: The synth offers extensive modulation routing options, allowing for a wide range of sounds, including percussion and modular-style textures.

Patchable CV Control Sockets: Users can rewire the synth and integrate it with external Eurorack and other modular systems.

  • 16-Step Sequencer: Ample features a vintage-style 16-step sequencer, the PATTERNATOR.
  • Touch Plates: Six touch plates output voltage, which can be used for pitch control or modulation.
  • Patch Pin Matrix: A pin matrix allows for flexible patching and sound exploration.
  • Lo-Fi Echo: The ECHO section provides easy access to add lo-fi echo or delay effects.

Ample excels in various audio applications, from classic analogue sound effects and fat basslines to screaming leads and experimental soundscapes. It can be used as an effect processor, a drum synthesizer for electronic percussion, or as a versatile modular synthesizer, offering a wide range of patching options and flexibility.

Whether connected to an external MIDI keyboard or DAW, or used standalone with its internal step sequencer and touch-plate keyboard, Ample promises to be a powerful and inspiring desktop synthesizer. Analogue Solutions has created a true sonic powerhouse with Ample, making it a standout addition to their impressive lineup.
