It was Moog’s very first workshop given that 1997 when Bob Moog held a theremin session in Portland, Maine.

“We produced Werkstatt especially as an educational device for teaching electronics assembly techniques and analog synthesizer circuit created in a workshop at Moogfest 2014.” claimed Steve Dunnington. “That workshop was quite unique for the Moog designers. We found out so much from the encounter and each of the participants.” During the past six weeks given that completion of Moogfest 2014, Moog has set pace to satisfy need and modify Werkstatt to make it appropriate outside of a workshop setup. “Assembly of the Werkstatt-01 is incredibly simple, so any type of individual can rapidly construct and likewise examine the circuits of an analog synthesizer that’s based on timeless Moog circuits in the house. While we can not duplicate the experience of the Moogfest 2014 Design VIP Workshop, Werkstatt-01 will certainly still supply a valuable and fun instructional encounter for customers.”

Werkstatt-01

The Werkstatt-01 Moogfest 2014 Analog Synthesizer showcases a single voltage regulated oscillator with two selectable waveshapes, saw and rhythm. This area also consists of a say for changing pulse width inflection and oscillator frequency, which stretches from 8Hz to 16KHz. The voltage regulated filter part homes a traditional 4-pole Moog Ladder Filter with 20Hz-20kHz regularity response, and a variable vibration say that can driving the filter into self oscillation.

Werkstatt-01 has 2 selectable modulation sources; a twin waveshape LFO with 0.2Hz-600Hz sweepable array, and a variable attack/decay envelope section with preserve on/off button. Modulation sources are conveniently appointed through specialized VCO and VCF modulation areas, each with a variable control for modulation quantity.

Likewise consisted of in each Werkstatt-01 is a breadboard-style patchable header, which dramatically broadens it’s imaginative sonic capacities. This patchable header includes a dedicated outside audio input, and say voltage inputs for VCO direct FM, VCO exponential VCF, VCA, FM and LFO. CV outputs are in sets, and include twin results for Key-board EG, CV, LFO, VCF, VCO, Gate, and Trigger.
