CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, USA: Black Lion Audio is happy to show off Revolution 2×2 — its entry into the bus-powered, portable audio interface world with it’s (2 x 2 USB-C) studio-grade (24-bit/192 kHz) desktop model of its own making, representing comprehensive analog design thanks to the top-line high-end converters costing big bucks now being available in a hand-sized product that won’t leave your bank account empty — as of January 18, 2021…
Black Lion Audio has a reputation as the ‘king of audio mods’ having modded plenty of audio interfaces over the years including my old trusty RME Fireface 800 I sold a few years back. I remember hearing rumblings of BLA stepping into the audio interface world and the Revolution 2×2 is the company’s first entry. This has been a long time in the making, being worked on it in secret — for years. I guess it takes time to truly revolutionize bus-powered, studio-grade audio interface design, and the Revolution 2×2 is the latest representation.
“Revolution 2×2 will begin shipping in February 2021 but first supply will be shorten due to the shortage of premium components chosen by our engineers for this interface.”
says Black Lion Audio Chief Operations Officer Preston Whiting, before adding:
“We could have subbed in alternative parts for the sake of speed but the sound would have been compromised and we refuse to do anything that negatively affects the experience of our customers or audio quality of our products.”
Revolution 2×2 will start shipping through Black Lion Audio’s network of dealers/distributors (https://www.blacklionaudio.com/dealers) with a MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) of $399.00 USD and an SSP (Suggested Selling Price) of €399.00 EUR (excluding VAT) in February.
