Akai released MPC Software 1.5 recently and I decided to download it and see what the new updates are. Installing MPC Software 1.5 did not present any hassle and seem to go smooth. I had to update the firmware on MPC Renaissance along with the update. Once I got update installed I went ahead and loaded the software up. I was able to load up all my old sessions with no issues. The MPC Software 1.5 seems to be more stable to me. After using the software for an hour I notice little bugs here and there. So far I have not encountered any major problems.
One of the biggest achievements of the MPC Software 1.5 update is to run software without controller. It was a good feeling to use software without controller. Now I can make changes to a project laying in the bed or sitting in Starbucks. I think this update was more significant than 1.4 and I feel this should had been all implemented in the beginning. Well, at least Akai is listening to their users and are fixing bugs making MPC Software more stable. In the future I will post some of my tips for using MPC Renaissance in your studio. ◾ 16-levels now works instantly. 16-level engages as soon as you hit the button. Press

auditioning. The sample list is context sensitive, and shows only the samples used
by the current selection (i.e. the selected sequence/track/program).
